All Aboard...
The Polar Express!
On December 3rd, Carter, Nick, and I did just that, boarded the Polar Express for a trip to the North Pole, in our PJ's. We departed from The Other Barn in Columbia and took the 10 min or so ride all the way to the North Pole. On the way up to the North Pole we heard the story of the Polar Express and drank "hot" chocolate (chocolate milk) and ate cookies. Once we got to the North Pole we were greeted by a familiar face, Santa Claus! Santa boarded the train and gave all the children the first Christmas gift, a bell from Santa's sleigh! On the ride back we sang Christmas Carols and danced.

Throwback Thursday!
So here is another Throwback Thursday (I think this is my favorite type of post) I like reliving those old moments! Here is my baby all S-T-R-E-T-C-H-E-D out! He was very long when he was born (21 1/2 inches) and has always been in the 95% and above for height! How cute is he!

Can You Believe it Has Been 10 Years?!
This weekend was also a reunion weekend for both Nick and I. My 10 year reunion for Quince Orchard High School (Go Cougars!) was on Friday night at the Zodiac bar in the Kentlands and Nick's 10 year reunion for Churchill High School was on Saturday night at Blackfinn Bar in Bethesda. Needless to say we were exhausted on Sunday, we haven't been out late together for one night in a long time so two nights in a row was very difficult for us old folks! I didn't bring a camera to either occasion, but a few friends had cameras and if you see facebook I know I have been tagged in a few, so I will try to steal them from facebook when I get home. Just added the photos and I look HUGE!!!! I don't think I really am that large but the pictures are NOT flattering at ALL!! (but like the title says the good the BAD and the messy, I would definitely consider this to be the BAD!!!) I may also have a few fun throwbacks of Nick and I when we were in high school to post. Since we have been together for 11 years (I know, gross!!!) I even have pictures of us together from high school. I'll update later when I get home! (I still have to look for the throwbacks we had gym last night and I got busy, I'll try again tonight!)
Thanksgiving
We had a lot of things to be thankful for this year, our families, our health, and of course new babies! My sister-in-law and I are both expecting in 2009 and have both been blessed with healthy babies a boy for her and a girl for me it is going to be a busy year!
We spent the weekend with both of our families. We started Thanksgiving at my parents house with my sister and her family and her in-laws. We ate and ate, the boys watched movies, played with toys, and played video games (Wii and N64!)
The food was delicious!
We ended the day at Nick's Aunt and Uncle's house with their family, Nick's parents, his brother and our sister-in-law, and Nick's Grandmother (Carter's Great-Grandma who will be 95 on January 31st!)
We are so thankful that our families are so close and that we get to visit with everyone on these special holiday's!
