Capon Springs!

Our annual trip to Capon Springs was once again a BLAST! The fall colors were in full effect! We had so much fun playing on the playground, shuffleboarding, feeding the pigs, hiking through the woods, and this time we saw the actual Capon Spring! I was treated to a massage and Nick, Carter, and I went "swimming" in the indoor spa pool! We also celebrated my 29th birthday. Sophia had fun...swinging and playing, but she didn't sleep so well and if our memory serves us correctly Carter didn't sleep well the first year he went to Capon either. We ate, played, and relaxed and had ourselves a great weekend!

We can't wait for next year!

My big brother Carter usually sleeps on his belly and has since he could roll over, me I was not a fan of it at first but now, peek in on me and every so often you will find this...

6 Months Old!!!

Sophia is 6 months old today!! I thought it would get easier to take pictures of her, boy was I wrong!
The paper almost instantly got demolished and she tried to eat it!

She was pretty proud of herself!

Sophia is our sweet, happy girl! We went to the doctor for her checkup and she is 16lbs. 12oz. (70%) and 27 inches (90%) - she didn't grow any longer! She sits up so well, rolls all over the place, and is beginning to look like she may crawl soon, reaching for things on her belly! She has started eating solid foods and does not like bananas. She does like rice and oatmeal, squash, apples, and pears. She likes the food to be mixed in with her cereal! Still no teeth! We can't wait for the next stage...crawling!! Love you baby girl!

Ok so I know the Redskins are terrible this year, but we are NOT fairweather fans!! (but we are starting to think about it!)

My Gym!

Carter has been going to My Gym this fall twice a week (buy one day get a second day free!!). He is now a Mighty Might and does the class all by himself (no parent needed on the floor!) It has been so much fun just watching him from the lobby do his gymnastics and play with new friends during class. Here are a few pictures of his fun!

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day

On this night at 7pm we lit a candle for all those babies who didn't make it into our world. We remember them and honor them on this night.

The Birdfeeder

Carter wanted to do a "project" one day so I decided we would make a bird feeder. I had spotted a single pinecone on the dead pine tree next to our house and thought how perfect is that. We set about making our birdfeeder and hung it out front. Here is how it turned out...

Down on the Farm!

Last weekend we took a trip to Clark's Eliok Farm with my parents and my sister. The boys had a great time running through the Christmas tree maze, sliding down the slides, riding the ponies, seeing the Enchanted Forest, and feeding the animals. We didn't do the hayride or pumpkin patch (we hope to do that this weekend if everyone is well enough) but we still had a great time!

We borrowed our neighbors jogging stroller to navigate over the grass and dirt, it worked great and Sophia loved it!

My sister thinks she remembers going to the old Enchanted Forest when we were little, I don't remember it, but she thinks there is a picture of us in front of the purple shoe.
