Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve at my parents house, as we usually do. And once again we had a blast! We must have been really good this year because Santa brought us way too much stuff!
Recorders from Grandma and Pa!
Sophia slept through most of the unwrapping, but woke up in time to open her gifts!
Carter's new Jonah movie from Aunt Karen, Uncle Brad, and Brady
As you can see in this picture we had hardly started the opening. Carter also got a parking garage, books, a digital camera, a leapster game, a V-motion video system, and other odds and ends. Sophia got a mailbox, clothes, and the Laugh and Learn Farm that she LOVES.
Thanks Grandma and Pa!!

8 Months Old!

My baby girl is 8 months old!!! I cannot believe how time flies! We have been busy this month with a lot of firsts! We had our first Thanksgiving, first trip to NJ, first visit with Santa, and even a first tooth (finally!). Yep on December 12th her first tooth popped in on the bottom, but there are no others in sight...yet! We also got our 3rd ear infection on December 14th leading us to a trip to the ENT in January (boo). Sophia is getting so active and doesn't sit still for long. We have more of a routine as far as eating and sleeping go (her naps have become more predictable) and she is eating some finger foods. We love watching her grow up, but wish it would happen more slowly!

Waving Hi!

Good Morning!

Playing with some friends!

Daddy's Girl!
You may notice in the crib picture that Sophia's eyes are closed, she now has her eyes closed in most pictures. When she sees the light that it is about to take a picture she squints her eyes and smiles. So funny, but very hard to take pictures...

Love you Baby Girl!

SNOW SNOW SNOW!!!

Like I said before we were in NJ the weekend of the BIG snow!! We had to dig our way to our front door to get in and luckly our neighbor helped Nick out just to get our shovel out of the garage!! While it wasn't great snow to sled in, Carter still enjoyed playing in it!
Not too sure at first
Sophia's ready for the snow!

Christmas in New Jersey

We spent the weekend before Christmas up in New Jersey with Nick's brother, Vince, our sister-in-law, Michele, and our nephew, Justin. We missed being "stuck" in our house during the huge snowstorm (22"!) but we were unable to get to our house when we came home! We had a wonderful time in NJ and had a delicious meal of Penne Vodka (homemade by Michele!). Here are some of the highlights...

More than Meets the Eye!

Happy 29th Birthday Daddy!
Ok, so probably some explaination needed. Nick has always complained that he always has a final on his birthday (when you are in school for 10 years and your birthday is the second week in December, it is probably true!) This year was no exception (what luck, he only had one final!), and probably the best gift he got was being done with school, but maybe it was his party!!! Carter is very into, what kind of party people are having. So he asked Nick what kind of party he was going to have, after discussing it they came to the conclusion that he would have a Transformers party. Little did Nick know that I would actually give him a Transformers birthday party complete with Transformer action figures on the cake! He was very surprised and had a great birthday! (I bet he won't ever forget it either!)

1st Snow

We had our first snow today, it snowed all day! It was so pretty! Carter and I took advantage of the snow and went sledding and built a snowman! It was Sophia's first time in the snow! She wasn't too sure about it at first (it was cold!) But she liked watching it fall from the sky!
Nick heard on the news that the past 6 out of the last 8 years it has snowed on December 5th and the other 2 years it was leap year and it snowed on December 6th...weird!
Here we are having fun!
Remember last years?
