Under the Big Top

While Nick and I were in St. Michaels Carter stayed with our parents. On Saturday my parents, Karen, Brad, and Brady took Carter to the circus at the fair grounds. He had a BLAST!!! Not only did he get to see the circus, he rode on a pony, got his face painted like a tiger, and he rode on an elephant! What a lucky kid! Here are some pictures that my Dad took of their trip to the circus.

Our 1st Anniversary

We made it!!! Today is our first anniversary! I can't believe that it is already here, we haven't even gotten our album yet (my fault).

Nick and I went on a romantic getaway to St. Michaels, Maryland where we stayed in a bed and breakfast called Five Gables.

We went to the St. Michaels Food and Wine Festival on Saturday and enjoyed beautiful weather and great wine!

Nick then surprised me with a sunset sail (we didn't actually sail, the weather was too windy, but we had a beautiful boat ride).

We ended the day with dinner at The Inn at Perry Cabin. This may look familiar to you as it is the place they shot the movie Wedding Crashers. We had a great weekend away celebrating!

When we came home my parents brought Carter back to our house and surprised us with a replica of our wedding cake top from the Carriage House Bakery (where we got our wedding cake). We all had a piece and it was delicious! Thanks Mom, Dad, Karen, and Brad!

Smoothie King

We ended the weekend with a trip to the mall (it was a rainy day), a haircut for Carter, and a smoothie to share!

A Trip to the Playground

One of Carter's favorite things to do in our neighborhood is to go to the playground (there are 2 to choose from!) So, Saturday we took a wagon ride to the playground by the pool. Carter wanted to not only ride in the wagon, but pull it, and run to the playground.

I also got some flowers along the trip!

We finally made it to the playground (walking with a 2 year old takes some time!)
