Take me out to the Ballgame

Carter went to his first Orioles game last night with Nick. They met my sister, Brad, and Brady there (also his first baseball game). Nick got some tickets from his boss and they were pretty good seats. A baseball game with a 3 1/2 year old can be pretty trying but he was pretty good and they had a great time. Carter ate everything he could get his hands on (even though he ate dinner before he went to the game) and the boys both got baseballs from the O's dugout! A very generous man that was sitting in front of them just walked up to the dugout and asked for 2 balls, he brought them back and gave one to Carter and one to Brady! What lucky kids! Here are some pictures of the fun night in their AMAZING seats!
Oh yeah! Nick cut his hair!!

Savy Shopper!

Today I went to Arundel Mills to get some new PJ's for Sophia and of course I had to shop around. Children's Place is still having its huge sale, but they now have summer stuff on sale and it is 50% off lowest price. So, I picked up some goodies for Carter for next summer (I pride myself in finding good deals off season and having a full wardrobe about a year before we need it). Here is the loot from Children's Place:
We got 2 hooded sweatshirts, a pair of lightweight kacki pants, 2 t-shirts, a bathing suit, and a pair of gym shorts, all in size 4T. The sweatshirts and pants can be worn this fall and winter. All of this for about $17.00!!
Then we went into Carter's to get Sophia her PJ's. Of course I found a few extra things...Here is the Carter's loot...
Two pairs of PJ's for Sophia and 3 pairs of shorts for Carter (4T). The shorts were only $2.50 each and the PJ's were $4.50 each. So all 5 things for $16.50. Not as much as at Children's Place but for $2.50 how could I pass up the shorts!
I felt very successful today shopping and hopefully Nick will think so too!

3 Months Old!

Sophia is 3 months old today! I cannot believe how quickly time goes! A lot has happened in the last month including Sophia getting baptized!
We had a pretty good photo shoot for her 3 month birthday, she doesn't so much tip over anymore but has learned how to do a scoot of sorts that leaves her lying on her back.
She is holding her head up better and making use of the Bumbo seat, making tons of noises in true Crivella style (if she talks anything like her brother we are in TROUBLE!!), she is sleeping great (12-13 hours at night!!!), and laughs and smiles at everyone in the family, especially Carter! We love our little girl!
Some more favorites from the photo shoot!
Yep the same cherries outfit! She still fits in many of her 0-3 month outfits but is transitioning into her 3-6 month clothes!

Please Forgive Me!

There has been a bird's nest under our deck for about 2 months now. Last year there was a bird's nest under our next door neighbors deck and it attracted a nice big snake!! I didn't want this to happen but I also didn't want to disrupt the eggs (if there were any in the nest) so I waited. Today when Carter was playing in his Crabby Sandbox I figured it was time to knock it down. Birds have hatched by now, right?!...WRONG!! I knocked the nest down and with it came 4 Robin eggs! I was SHOCKED!!! One of them cracked but the other three were intact. So I took Carter's rake (you aren't supposed to touch eggs or the mom won't come back) and carefully placed them back into the nest and picked up the nest and put it in a nearby tree. I don't know if the mom will be able to find them or if they will hatch (it was a big fall!) but I tried! My mom told me that birds (especially Robin's) should have hatched by now. Maybe she is wrong maybe she is right I don't know but I hope she is right and these eggs were just duds! I took some pictures because they were very pretty!
The three rescued eggs back in the nest!
A new home!

Centennial Lake

This morning we took a walk around Centennial Lake. I think I underestimated the stamina of my children, but we made it all the way around and it only took us about an hour!

Carter looking at the geese

My view on the walk...I estimated that I pushed ~60 pounds around that lake!

Well most of the lake, I did force Carter out of his seat to run along the path from time to time.

Sophia did some more thumb sucking! (I LOVE it I think it is so cute!)

Shorty Shorts

I got the inspiration from this blog post to capture these adorable summer PJ's.

Splish Splash

Yesterday I blew up the "baby" pool for Carter to play in. We have a pool in our neighborhood but it is just not safe for me to take two children to the pool by myself, so the "baby" pool will have to do during the day. I call it a "baby" pool because it is rather large...you'll see!
