The Easter Bunny!

Last weekend was Easter! The Easter bunny came in full force with three Easter Egg Hunts and 2 Easter baskets! We spent Saturday at my parents house coloring Easter eggs and having an Easter egg hunt. Sunday morning the Easter bunny brought an Easter basket and hid Easter eggs filled with Play-Doh. For Easter dinner we went to my sister, Karen's house for another Easter egg hunt and another filled basket! We had quite a weekend, the weather was beautiful and the boys had fun playing outside.

The Merry-Go-Round

There is a Merry-Go-Round at the mall in Columbia that we should own. I think we are the reason it is still at the mall and has not gone out of business! Riding the Merry-Go-Round is one of Carter's most favorite things to do. So today (after waiting at the post office for over an hour to get his passport) I took him to the mall to get a haircut and go on the Merry-Go-Round. We often go to the mall just to ride the Merry-Go-Round. Carter also loves to get his haircut solely for the reason that he gets a lollipop (which he is eating in the picture!)

Pump It Up

As many of you know this past week I have been on spring break. Spring Break is not really a break when you have a 2 year old and I have come up with many activities for us to do this week, so Carter won't get bored (and I won't go stir crazy!). We went to the Science Center in Baltimore (which I keep forgetting to bring my camera to!) on Monday, the mall and the Merry-Go-Round on Tuesday, my parents house on Wednesday, and today we went to Pump It Up in the morning and to lunch with Emily and baby Jack at the mall. After lunch we went to the matinée showing of Horton Hears a Who (which was very good)!

So we have had a busy week and we will end the week getting Carter his passport and a visit from the Easter Bunny!

For those of you who aren't familiar with Pump It Up, it is the COOLEST place for kids. It is an indoor inflatable playground with slides (the slides are crazy tall and Carter has never been scared of them, check out the top picture and you will see how big the slides are!) and obstacle courses similar to the ones that were on the old game show Double Dare. The best part of Pump It Up is that for Carter it is free and adults play free as well, so it is a fun, inexpensive activity to wear your kids out!

Here are some pictures I took of Carter playing:

Climbing up, what a STRONG kid!

Sleeping like a Baby, I mean like a Big Boy

As I wrote in the previous blog the big boy bed has arrived and we have been pretty successful. Here are some pictures of the first night:
Sleeping like a baby, I mean Big Boy!

We did have one night where he did not want to sleep in the big boy bed, but he didn't want to be back in the crib either. He wanted to sleep with either me or Nick in the guest room bed. Other than that night we have been successful...but Carter has become the world's best at coming up with excuses not to go to bed!

Big Boy Bed

The big boy bed finally came this week. It is a toddler bed. We thought we would take baby steps to a real bed (he's still too little!) We think the toddler bed is the perfect size for right now!

Nick put it together when he got home today. Carter seems to like it and ran to lay in it right away! We put it in the same place his crib was and we have left the crib in his room (just in case).

We will see how tonight goes, the first night in the big boy bed!

Somewhere Over the Rainbow...

Last weekend there was a huge storm, even with some hail. After the heavy downpour stopped the sky in the front of the house was clear, but in the back yard it was still really dark. Perfect for a rainbow... and guess what! The BIGGEST rainbow I have ever seen was in the sky. We took some pictures of Carter's first rainbow!

If you put these two pictures together you would see the FULL RAINBOW!!

Swimming with the Fishes!

Last Saturday, March 1, we visited the Baltimore Aquarium. We met my college friends Kristi and Lou and their two girls, Tayler and Ryan at the aquarium.
We saw many fish, frogs, turtles, sharks, and sting rays.

We also went to see the dolphin show.

Carter had a great time, his favorite place in the aquarium was the rain forest.

At the aquarium we had some great views of Baltimore's Inner Harbor!

And a hanging kid!
