Can you tell me how to get, how to get to...

On our way up to the lake Nick and I took Carter to Sesame Place. It is a Sesame Street themed amusement park just outside of Philadelphia in Langhorne PA. We had so much fun despite the hot weather and the crowds.

Riding the new Carousel

Meeting Big Bird, Elmo, Bert and Ernie, and Oscar the Grouch. This was Carter's favorite thing, to meet the characters. I thought he was going to be afraid of them but he LOVED them and wanted to find all of them!

There is also a water park side to Sesame Place, but we used a water camera to take those pictures, as soon as I get them back I will update this post!

The Lake

We spent last week at the Lake House in upstate New York, the Adirondacks to be exact. We had a great relaxing week with just us and Nick's cousin Jack.

Carter had fun
Blowing Bubbles

Taking boat rides

Riding the jet ski

and taking pictures of Mommy!

We also spent time playing Wii Bowling (in our underwear of course!)

We had a great time!

We played hard and slept hard (even if we had to fight it!)

Next adventure...A Pirate Ship!!

Memorial Day

We had a great Memorial Day weekend! We had a lot of fun family time this weekend which was really nice.
Carter and I started the weekend with a trip to Aunt Karen's house where we, along with Karen, Brad, and Brady, took a trip to Cunningham Falls. A great state park where we had a picnic lunch, went fishing, and the boys even braved the cold lake. We had a great day! Daddy had fun playing TWO rounds of golf.

There must have been something terrifying!

Sunday we spent at Lake Elkhorn with Pete, Melissa, and their new puppy Jazz. We walked around the lake and had a picnic of McDonalds chicken nuggets and French fries. After the lake we went to the mall to get Carter a hair cut or should I say a buzz cut! We also rode on the Merry-Go-Round and had a special ice cream treat from Maggie Moo's.

Carter also helped me do a little house cleaning!

Monday afternoon we spent at my parents house for a Memorial Day cookout lunch. The boys had fun playing in the pools my dad set up and ate hot dogs on the table my sister and I used as kids!

We had a great long weekend together! It was definitely tough going back to work on Tuesday.

The Big Apple

This past weekend we trekked up to New Jersey to visit some of Nick's family. We stayed at his brother, Vince's, house and on Saturday drove (BIG mistake) into the city to go to Central Park. Once we got there we had a great time. We enjoyed looking at the turtles in the lake.

Carter played on one of the 28 playgrounds at the park and had a yummy ice cream! The sign to the playground reminded me of an institution, like in the movie Annie (Hudson Street Orphanage).

The playground was right next to Tavern on the Green.

After we left the park we headed to dinner for Nick's cousin, Will's, graduation party. Will graduated from Fordham University this past weekend so we went up to celebrate!

The happy graduate!

Unfortunately Carter got sick during the dinner and we had to leave early (that's why we aren't in the family picture)
Overall we had a great trip! It was great to see our family that we don't get to see very often, thanks for having us!

Mother's Day

It is pretty crazy to think that I was with my dad and my mother-in-law (the king and queen of taking pictures) for Mother's day and not a single picture was taken. I can't believe it, but we were so busy that I didn't even notice and just enjoyed spending time with my family. We spent Saturday night at my in-laws house having a delicious dinner of lasagna. My parents came over as well as Nick's grandma and aunt and uncle.
Saturday was also my mom's birthday! We celebrated with cake and ice cream, it was a wonderful evening!

Sunday was Mother's Day. I got to sleep in and was fed breakfast in bed of pancakes, eggs, fruit, hot chocolate, and orange juice. I got adorable cards from both Nick and Carter and then I got my gift...

The Starboard Tote - Seaside Pattern
I saw this bag in St. Michaels when we went for our anniversary and LOVED it! I wanted to get it for a new beach bag and Nick surprised me by not only getting it for me but remembering that I wanted it. We spent the rest of the day together at the mall riding the infamous Merry-Go-Round and having a low-key lunch at Champps. We ended the day at home when it started raining (and is STILL raining today!) watching movies and eating popcorn. It was a great day, I couldn't have asked for a better day!!
