50 Days!

It seems like just yesterday that I was writing the 100 day post, and here I am only 50 days away. This pregnancy has gone by very quickly and we are still no where near close to ready for this little girl. The only progress we have made is we have ordered the bedding (it should come in the mail today!) It is the Sweet collection by MiGi:

My fabulous friends at school are arranging a party of sorts for me and another friend (who is due in June with her first baby) at the end of March, which is really very nice of them.
Nick keeps asking me for a list of things that need to be done and purchaced and although I do want to start the "To Do" list, I have been so busy with birthday's and work that I hardly have any time to even think about it. (We aren't even close to picking a name!)
I will try to post belly pictures this week so I have a record of the ever expanding belly (and rest of me). People keep telling me that I look great and I only have a belly this time around, I think they just want me to feel good, because I am HUGE (according to me) and I definitely have more than just a belly! (I am actually thinking I need new, bigger pants!)
I can't wait to meet my little girl!

3 Year Old Stats

We went to the doctor yesterday and Carter is a very healthy, very smart (but we already knew that! :) 3 year old! The doctor was very impressed that he had been completely potty trained for over 6 months now and could spell his name and count to 20!
Here is how he is measuring up:
Height: 39 inches (90%)
Weight: 35 pounds (90%)
They also took his blood pressure for the first time, his eyes got really big as it squeezed his arm (so cute!) 80/60
And his BMI is on the low end of the normal range (they start looking at this because of all of the obesity issues in America today)
Also, no shots again this year! Yay!
(For those of you with little ones, there are no shots at year 2 OR year 3!! but they come back in full force at year 4)
Carter will be starting school next Tuesday with his friend from daycare, Matthew. He will be going to Grace Episcopal Church School 2 afternoons a week (Tuesday and Thursday) from 12:30-3pm, no naps those days!! I will be sure to post on his first day of school!

Carter is 3!!

I cannot believe it! My little baby is 3 today. It seems like just yesterday I was holding a tiny baby and now he is an independent little boy (who still likes Mommy to hold him from time to time). Everyone always says "It goes by so fast!" Well it does! It doesn't seem so long ago that I was in the hospital getting ready to see my little boy for the first time.

And then all of a sudden he was a 1 year old toddler.

Before we knew it he was turning 2!

And now we have a 3 year old who will be starting preschool next week and is so excited to be a Big Brother. My Baby is growing up!

As we wait the arrival of Carter's little sister I am sad that he is no longer going to be the "baby" but I think he knows he will ALWAYS be my baby boy!

I Heart Faces

So, some of you may have seen that I have been participating in an online photography blog called I Heart Faces. Many of the pictures that get entered are from professional photographers, so I don't think I really ever have a chance of winning, but each week they make a collage (or a few collages) of some of the pictures that were entered for that week. Karen and I have never been so excited to be included in something like this. There are usually close to 300 or even more entries so to be picked (even at random) makes us very excited!
